Rafoss Hotel was originally a staging inn which was established
by Samuel T. Rafoss in 1908. English lords were among the most frequent guests, as the
beautiful river Kvina was well renowned for salmon fishing.
The present owner, Bård Rafoss Johansen started in 1995 a very comprehensive
renovation, and the hotel is now filled with nostalgia and former times elegance. The
guestrooms in the new building are of high standard with TV and bath-rooms. Kvinesdal is a
unique starting-point for daytrips both to high mountains and fjords.
