MON
ALTA - KARASJOK
Bus transfer from Alta to Karasjok
(6:30 pm).
Arrival Karasjok (9:00 pm)and check in
at Rica Hotel Karasjok. The hotel has a warm and modern atmosphere and
the architecture is heavily influenced by the Sami culture. The hotel
is located in the centre of Karasjok, the sami capital in Finnmark.
After check in dinner is served
in the hotel’s restaurant. Overnight stay at Rica Hotel Karasjok.
TUE KARASJOK
Daily buffet breakfast is served during your stay.
After breakfast we change to warm
winter clothes. Thermal suit, boots, gloves and hat Then we go to the
forest and look for a Christmas tree. This is a typical Norwegian
Christmas tradition and the whole family can participate. Hot drinks
is served around an open fire in the forest. We return to the hotel
with the Christmas tree.

Visit to the National museum of Sami
Culture
Time on your own to visit Karasjok or relax in the hotel. The hotel
also has an excellent sauna and relaxing room available for the guests
to use.

KARASJOK
Change to warm winter clothes. Before
we start on the snowmobile safari we get safety instructions and the
guide gives instructions of driving. The adults start on the
snowmobile trip driving their own snowmobile. For the children we can
offer downhill sledding.
Lunch is served in Rica Hotel
Karasjok.
Christmas “get together” activities:
- Christmas songs (1-2 songs and 1
Christmas joik).
- Gingerbread decorations.
- Making Christmas decoration.
- Tasting “Gløgg”, warm Christmas
toddy, and gingerbread.

transfer to a genuine Sami camp in Karasjok

KARASJOK - HONNINGSVAG
- NORTH CAPE EXCURSION:
Transfer from Rica Hotel Karasjok to Honningsvåg in the morning.
Pick-up at Rica Bryggen Hotel in Honningsvåg, the bus will follow
the convoy at the North Cape Road with return from North Cape at
14:15. We serve the traditional champagne and caviar at the North
Cape! Be sure to see the museum hallway with its ecumenical chapel
and the Super Videograph film about the four seasons at the North
Cape. Get your own Certificate to prove your visit to North Cape
Late lunch at hotel. Afternoon free.
Dinner and overnight at Rica Bryggen Hotel Honningsvåg.

will be no tour escort, only the local English speaking guides.
- The warm clothes are practical and
warm but only exist in a limited number of sizes and/or colors.
- All excursions are subject to
weather conditions and can be cancelled at all times. The Northern
Lights can only be seen in clear weather and can not be guaranteed.
- Snowmobile tour: 2
persons/snowmobile
Includes: petrol, thermal suits, shoes, hat/helmet, gloves.
Driving license required to drive snowmobile.
Rates for optional excursions- if
booked in advance:
- Northern Lights Hunting Trip.
Daily 8.30 pm-11.00 pm. You will be transferred to the forest
sitting in sledge pulled by snowmobile, Here you will watch the
night and for animals. You will be served coffee/tea in a heated
lavvu and entertained with joik, traditional Sami singing. Winter
clothes are included.

- Trip with a dog-team. (2-3 hrs).
Mon-Fri 11:00 am-1.00 pm and Tuesday and Friday
5:00 pm-8.00 pm. You will be transported to Engholm Husky Farm for a
silent experience in the wilderness. Before starting you will be
supplied with winter clothes and given instructions of how to behave
and drive a dog team. Minimum 2 persons.
