Electrical Current:
The electrical outlets in the cabins and public areas are 220V, 50~.  (US standard is 110V, 60~) Passengers will need to bring voltage converter kit for any appliances that are 110V.  There is a 110V, 60~outlet for electric shavers in the bathroom, however, this outlet will not provide sufficient wattage for most appliances.

  Public Space

  • Cormorant Lounge is at the fore of the vessel and is the best observation lounge.  It contains a small library for the use of all passengers as well as internet access.
  • Kittiwake Lounge/Bar is located in the rear of the vessel and may be used for lectures.  Holds approximately 65 people.  Lectures will be held in this lounge with LCD Projector, slide projector, podium, microphone, and screen.
  • Shearwater Restaurant holds dining in one seating.
  • Northern Lights Cafe – open café on the top deck.  Provides al fresco dining when weather permits.
  • Library has two computers to check emails
  • Fitness center located on the top deck – will have basic equipment treadmills, Bikes and free weights.
  • Gift shop items on display available for purchase from reception desk agent.

Medical Attention
A medical doctor will be on call aboard the m/s Andrea. The medical facility has limited medications available, however, if necessary further medications can be requested while in ports of call.  Passengers must bring their own supply of medications that they are taking while on aboard.  Doctor’s visits are charged to passengers on board room account.

Cabins

Dress Code:
Sporty, Casual clothing is appropriate onboard.  For Captain’s Dinner and Farewell dinner we recommend elegant semi-formal attire for woman and a jacket and tie for men.  Note: On the Antarctic, Chilean Fjords, and Orinoco Cruises the attire for dinner is sporty and casual.

Gratuities
Gratuities are not included and are at each passenger’s discretion.  There will be designated envelopes in each cabin and reception at the end of the voyage.  All tips are divided equally among the crew members onboard.  A guideline of $10.00-$12.00 USD per passenger per day would be appropriate.

Laundry
Laundry service is provided on board for personal laundry and pressing.  There is no facility for dry cleaning.  Price list and laundry bags are available in each cabin.  For firs and safety reasons, the use of personal in room clothing irons in not permitted in passenger cabins.

Lounges
The library and business center are located in the Cormorant Lounge which is on the Mediterranean Deck. The Kittiwake Lounge is also located on the Mediterranean Deck and will be open at designated times.

Meals/Restaurant
All meals will be served in the Shearwater Restaurant located on the Mediterranean Deck.  The Shearwater Restaurant can accommodate all passengers in one seating.  The Northern Lights Café, located on the upper deck offers al fresco dining when weather permits.

Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in the cabins or public areas.  Smoking will only be permitted outside in the open air.

Embarkation/Disembarkation
The embarkation time is 4:00 pm.  Please note that early arrivals cannot be accommodated onboard.  Disembarkation time is usually at 9:00 am or before.

Port Charges-net per person as follows: Less than 7 night cruise: $70.00; 7-10 Nights $95.00; 11-16 Nights $130.00.
Antarctica port charges for cruises up to 10 nights $130, 11-18 nights $220.
Prices are per person based on double occupancy. Triple occupancy cabins are available/30% discount on double rates per person on triple occupancy.
Single supplement for all cabins outside of the SINGLE category are 100% single supplement. Shore excursions are available for purchase aboard the vessel.
