Kainuu in easternmost Finland, known for its pristine wilderness, offers a
full range of winter activities. This is
the region where the Finnish national epic, the Kalevala, grew out of heroic tales that had been passed from generation to
generation in the form of songs. You will stay at Hotel
Kalevala, located in a village of log houses and cabins that all reflect
the old Kalevala style. In December the village turns into a scene of Christmas traditions and you may even meet Santa
Claus there. Design your own individual holiday by selecting the activities of your choice.
