Day 1: Saturday
Pick-up at your hotel in Reykjavik at 9:00 am by your driver/guide in a
jeep.
Drive over the Hellisheidi mountain range and traverse the wide plains of
southern Iceland to the foot of Mt. Helka. Climbing from there, we cross
mysterious lava fields and vast white snowfields to Landmannalaugar. In the
afternoon, put on cross-country skis or snowshoes to go for a hike in this
beautiful region. Later you can enjoy a warm bathe in the hot spring river
before a barbeque dinner.
Day
2: Sunday
After an early breakfast, set out across the mountain plateau towards the
main road to Reykjavik. If the weather permits, you will pass by the Gullfoss
Waterfall and the Geysir Hot springs before reaching Reykjavik. |
