Based in the southern town of Selfoss and the capital Reykjavik this activity holiday takes you right into Iceland's nature, with challenging adventures. You will walk close to glaciers and hot springs, river raft on the magnificent Hvítá river (White River) and horse back ride through lava fields then mountain bike in beautiful unspoiled Heidmörk. Accommodation in Selfoss is in comfortable wooden chalets with private facilities and a hot pot nearby to relax in after a days activity. In Reykjavík you stay in the newly furnished rooms at Borgartun Guest House close to the swimming pool and sporting complex.

You can add the The Viking Challenge North Tour to this for a real experience.
Or, extra days and other tours can be added.

SUN REYKJAVIK - PINGVELLIR - SELFOSS (Hiking)
After a short journey from Reykjavik we arrive at Pingvellir National Park. We walk through the historical sites of the Viking Parliament before exploring the shore of Iceland's largest lake to the geothermal area at Nesjavellir. Accommodation for the next three nights is in Selfoss in comfortable wooden chalets with private facilities.  Nearby your chalet is a hot tub. Dinner.

MON SELFOSS (Rafting)

After visiting the hot springs of Geysir we get our first view of the Hvita River as it thunders over Gullfoss Waterfall. The rafting starts below the waterfall close to the canyon of Pjaxi and goes through some exciting rapids and deep gorges. Tonight you will enjoy a real Icelandic BBQ.

TUE SELFOSS (Kayaking)

Traveling along the south shore we visit waterfalls, glaciers, the black sandy beach and one of Scandinavia's finest folk museums at Skogar. In Stokkseyri, you have a Kayak adventure that is followed by a Lobster feast by the ocean shore.

WED SELFOSS - REYKJAVIK (Horse Riding)

We start the day with Icelandic horses for the next part of your adventure. The horses are trained both for beginners and experienced riders, and you will enjoy riding through lava fields. After a light lunch we visit the Blue Lagoon, one of the worlds’ most exciting hot springs. The next two nights are spent in Reykjavik at the centrally located Borgartun Guest House.

THU  REYKJAVIK (Whale Watching, Bicycling)

After breakfast, a cruise takes you in search of whales and dolphins. Following the cruise, mountain bikes are provided for a journey into Heidmork, a beautiful wooded area. Return to Reykjavik for a free evening.
