A TASTE OF THE "ICE HOTEL"
 Please
note that Scantours USA does not sell “Ice-Hotel only” stays but only the
“packages” listed below, plus additional nights, services and pre-booked
excursions.
Transportation by air to and/or from Kiruna, Sweden can only be arranged
as part of total trans-Atlantic air packages. We do not sell air travel
for intra-European or intra-Scandinavia flights unless combined with air
tickets from the USA on SAS. Rail transportation may be arranged only in
certain situations or if in conjunction with a Stockholm package.
Many weekend nights and holiday periods are already full. The best
availability at the Ice Hotel is Monday - Wednesday nights. Please try to
give us a range of dates you are willing to travel.

DAY 1
STOCKHOLM-KIRUNA (LAPLAND)
Depart
from Stockholm on overnight sleeper train to Kiruna in a two-bed
private compartment.
DAY 2 KIRUNA-ICE HOTEL
On arrival in Kiruna, transfer by car to the village of
Jukkasjarvi and the Ice Hotel. Enjoy your overnight at the Ice Hotel
in an arctic sleeping bag on reindeer skins. Before bed try a
nightcap at the Absolut Bar, all made of ice.
DAY 3
ICE HOTEL-KIRUNA-STOCKHOLM
After
warm soup & breakfast and a sauna, explore the village or join one
of the many optional excursions (dogsledding, snowmobiling etc).
Transfer by car to Kiruna railway station. Depart on overnight
sleeper train to Stockholm in a private two-bed compartment.
 DAY 4
STOCKHOLM
Your
arrangements end after arrival in Stockholm either at the airport or
in the city.

 The Ice
Hotel is located in Jukkasjarvi, Lapland in northern Sweden. It is
on the 68th parallel about 120 km south of the North
Pole.
The Ice
Hotel is completely made of ice. The architecture changes from year
to year but the concept remains the same—ice, ice, ice.
Have a drink served in an ice glass at the ice bar. Enjoy a dinner
with Lapland specialties on a plate made of ice.
Finally, have a good night’s sleep in your hotel room – on an ice
bed! This experience is extraordinary and a memory for life.
