Sightseeing Tours
The basic city tour (1.5 hours) takes in the most
important and interesting parts of Helsinki, such as the historical center and
the Senate Square, the diplomatic quarters, the Presidential Palace, City Hall,
the Parliament building, Finlandia Hall and the Opera House. The bus stops at
Sibelius Monument and, when possible, at the Temppeliaukio Church.
Some tours are conducted in coaches of special
construction partly with glass roofs and a high-tech computerized audio system
allowing each passenger to listen to the commentary in the language of his or
her choice. The commentary will be further enlivened by music and sound effects
tying in with the city's history and major events.
