Originally, Fossheim was a staging
inn. It was opened in 1897 by the Th. Garmo family. Fossheim has
been restored and modernized several times, most recently in 1992.
Solid timber- walled houses in keeping with traditional building
techniques, together with art and antiques, contribute towards
creating an interesting atmosphere you will most certainly enjoy.
A common grassy area between these
old timber-walled houses characterizes these surroundings. We are
especially proud of our "Gaukstadstugu", which is one of
the best preserved timber-walled houses from the 17th century in
Norway.
We are also proud to offer an
excellent menu based on the best traditional cuisine. With our
famous chef Mr Arne Brimi, we are delighted to welcome you to our
table. |
