Hotel Kong Carl is the pearl of the whaling city of Sandefjord. Built in 1690, it served as an inn as early as 1721. The hotel is well known for its excellent cuisine and unique atmosphere. In 1990 the hotel was awarded the Norwegian Hotel and Restaurant Association's Hospitality Prize.
