Rail Protection Plan

Protect your pass in the case of loss or theft with Rail Europe's Rail Protection Plan.

Remember that, as per the European Railroad's policy, rail passes are not refundable nor replaceable if lost or stolen. In consideration of this strict policy, our Rail Protection Plan will compensate you for the unused portion of the pass if lost or stolen. The plan is available for only $14 per pass.

Rail Protection Claims
To qualify for reimbursement, just purchase a replacement rail pass or rail ticket(s) and complete rail travel. The replacement pass or ticket(s) must be purchased in Europe. A police report must be filed. The procedure and conditions for obtaining reimbursement are listed in a flyer accompanying the pass.

Reimbursement is based on the unused value of the pass or the value of the replacement pass or ticket(s), whichever is lower. The Rail Protection Plan does not cover reservations, couchettes or sleepers.

The Rail Protection Plan is strictly limited to loss or theft occurring in Europe.

The Rail Protection Plan is neither refundable nor exchangeable.

This plan applies to all individual Eurail passes and their associated Rail 'n Drives: Eurailpass, Eurailpass Flexi, Eurailpass Youth, Eurailpass Youth Flexi, EurailDrive, Eurail Selectpass, Eurail Selectpass Youth, Eurail Selectpass Drive, Europass, Europass Youth, Europass Drive.
