Daily Apr 01 - Oct 31

Day 1 Flybus (Airport Bus) transfer from Keflavík Airport to accommodation in Reykjavík. Overnight at Hotel Loftleidir or similar.

Day 2 Drive across Hellisheiði to the greenhouse village of Hveragerði. Continuation to the waterfall Gullfoss and the
hot springs at Geysir. Þingvellir, site of the ancient Icelandic parliament, and through Hvalfjörður or Kaldidalur highland pass (4WD needed) to Borgarfjörður. Overnight at Bifrost Fosshotel or similar in Borgarfjordiur.

Day 3 Drive north through Borgarfjörður, to the shores of Húnaflói Bay and the towering mountains and horse-breeding valleys of Skagafjörður. On to Akureyri.Overnight at Akureyri Edda Hotel or similar.
Optional:
-River rafting
-Horse riding in Skagafjörður.

Day 4 A morning in Akureyri, the capital of the North. After a stop in the town, onwards to the Lake Mývatn area.
Overnight in Selhotel Myvatn in Myvatn or similar for two nights.

Day 5 Exploring the natural wonders of Lake Mývatn and the surrounding area, including fantastic lava formations. Visit to the volcanic area of Krafla along with the colorful sulfurous slopes of Námaskarð pass.

Day 6 Drive north to the fishing port of Húsavík and around Tjörnes peninsula. Ásbyrgi, a magnificent horseshoe-shaped canyon, and Jökulsárgljúfur National Park. Proceeding to Dettifoss, Europe's mightiest waterfall, before heading across the highland plateau to Egilsstaðir. Overnight at Icelandair Hotel Herad or similar in Egilsstadir.

Day 7 Drive south through the spectacular Eastern fjords, where towering, terraced mountains plunge vertically into the ocean and on to the town of Höfn in Hornafjörður, gateway to the south coast. Overnight at Hotel Vatnajokull in Hofn or similar.

Day 8 Drive to the shimmering icebergs and still, milky waters of Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon before continuing to Skaftafell National Park. On to the picturesque village of Kirkjubæjarklaustur. Overnight at Icelandair Hotel Kirkjubaejarklaustur or similar.
Optional:
-Boat tour on Jökulsárlón
-Ice climbing in Skaftafell area.

Day 9 Drive along the spectacular southern coast, a sweeping landscape of sandy desert, rocky shores and rolling farmland sandwiched between snow-capped glaciers, mountains and the ocean. Return to Reykjavík. Overnight at Hotel Loftleidir or similar.

Day 10 Departure by Flybus.
