COPENHAGEN
On arrival in Copenhagen, proceed on your own to
Hotel The Square
and check-in from 2:00 pm. At 6:00 pm meet your tour escort and fellow
passengers for a get-together dinner at a restaurant inside the famous
Tivoli Gardens.
SAT
COPENHAGEN-OVERNIGHT CRUISE
Buffet breakfast. A 3 hour local sightseeing tour passes City Hall
Square, Christianborg Palace, the Old Stock Exchange, Nyhavn and the new
Opera House. Stops will be made at royal residence Amalienborg Palace and
the Little Mermaid. Free until transfer to DFDS pier for overnight cruise
to Oslo departing at 5:00 pm. Buffet dinner on board. Accommodation in
inside cabin.
SUN
OSLO-GEILO
BUffet breakfast on board. Arrive in Oslo at 9:15 am and meet your
tour escort and other passengers for a three hour city sightseeing tour
including such sights as the City Hall and the Royal Palace. Visit the
Vigeland Park to see the impressive sculptures by Norwegian Gustaf
Vigeland. Enjoy the spectacular view from Holmenkollen of the ski jump and
the city below. Time for a light lunch on your own in the city before
setting off along the shores of the Tyri Fjord and into the fertile
Halling Valley to the famous ski resort of Geilo. Dinner and
accommodation in Hotel Bardola.
 MON
GEILO - FLAM - STALHEIM
This morning after breakfast,
board the train departing for Mydal. Here you will change to the famous
Flam Railway down to the village of Flam on the Fjords. After time for
lunch and shopping on our own in Flam, board a boat for a two hour scenic
fjord cruise on the Aurlands and Naeroy Fjords. Disembark in Gudvangen and
drive by coach up the hairpin road to Stalheim for dinner and overnight at
Hotel Stalheim.
TUE STALHEIM
- BERGEN - HARDANGER FJORD - STALHEIM
After you enjoy a buffet breakfast,
enjoy a full day excursion to Bergen. The driving time via Voss is about
2.5 hours. Upon arrival in Bergen, a short tour of this city on the
Unesco's World Hermitage List is followed by free time to explore this
charming city. We return to Stalheim on a different route passing
Steindalsfossed Waterfalls and
along the shores of the Hardanger Fjord back to Stalheim. Dinner and
accommodation at
Hotel Stalheim.
WED STALHEIM - SOGNE FJORD - GEIRANGER
After breakfast, we drive a short
way to Vinje and cross the Sogne Fjord from Vangnes to Dragsvik. In
Balestrand board a fjord cruise for a 1 hour 20 minute trip on the
Fjaerland Fjord to Fjaerland to admire the ice blue Jostedal Glacier
before driving on via Skei and Loen to Hellesylt. At 5:00 pm we will go
an another unforgettable cruise on the Geiranger Fjord to pass the Seven
Sisters' Waterfalls. We disembark in Geiranger for dinner and
accommodation in Hotel Geiranger.
THU
GEIRANGER - LILLEHAMMER - HAMAR
After breakfast this morning, a
short drive to Dalsnibba to see one of the famous panorama points in
Norway. Then a stop in Lom to view the old wooden stave church from the
12th century there. We then drive via Otta into the the Gudbrands Valley,
also said the home of the Trolls, and in the afternoon we reach
LIllehammer, site of the 1994 Winter Olympics. After a short orientation
drive of the Olympic sites, you'll have free time to stroll the main
streets of this Olympic city. Then a short ride will bring us to Hamar by
Lake Mjosa and dinner and accommodation in
Hotel First Victoria.
FRI HAMAR
- MORA - FALUN
After a leisurely breakfast, a new
day of Nature's wonders is awaiting you. We will
cross the border to Sweden and the
providence of Dalecarlia. We arrive in Mora for a stop and then continue
around Lake Siljan to Nusnes to visit the manufacturers of the the famous
wooden Dalar horses. Lastly, we arrive in Falun, an old mining town, for
dinner and accommodation in Hotel First Grand.
SAT FALUN -
UPPSALA - STOCKHOLM
This morning after breakfast, we
head for Uppsala, the old university town with the impressive, medieval
cathedral. Then a short stop on the way to Stockholm in Sigtuna by Lake
Malaren with its charming main street and painted wooden houses. In
Stockholm, a short walk with your tour escort before choice of dinner on
your own. Accommodation in Hotel First Amaranten.
 SUN
STOCKHOLM
After breakfast, a 3 hour city sightseeing tour.
Visit the City Hall, site of the annual Nobel Prize banquet and enjoy the
panoramic view from Fjellgatan street. Take a stroll in the Old Town
with it's cobbled streets. Afternoon is free for shopping or
optional tours. Dinner on your own and accommodation at
Hotel First Amaranten.
MON
STOCKHOLM-OVERNIGHT CRUISE
After breakfast, the morning is free to further explore Stockholm. At
2:00 pm, your private coach and guide will take you to the Vasa Museum for
a visit to the famous ship which sank on its maiden voyage in 1628 and
raised whole from the sea in the 1950's. You will then be taken to the
Viking Line Pier for the overnight cruise to Helsinki. Enjoy buffet dinner
on board while cruising the impressive archipelago..
Accommodation in inside cabin.
TUE HELSINKI-TALLINN
Buffet breakfast on board. Upon arrival a local private sightseeing
tour of Helsinki including a visit to the Church in the Rock and a stop at
Sibelius Monument. Time for a stroll on the shopping street, Esplanadi,
before going to pier for the 2:30 pm departure of the Silja Line hydrofoil
across the Finnish Gulf to Tallinn. Upon arrival at 4:10 pm, transfer by
private coach to Hotel Revel Olympia. Time for a stroll with your tour
escort before dinner at the hotel.
WED TALLINN-HELSINKI
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. A morning city sightseeing tour will
highlight all the important sights. The tour starts with the city center
and the modern part of Tallinn and continues to Pirita and entrance to St.
Birgita's Convent.
Then continue around the medieval city walls ending at Toompea Hill. Here
a walking tour of the Old Town begins
passing Toompea Castle and visiting Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Continue
onwards along Pikk Street to the lower town and visit Niguliste Chuch and
Old Town Hall. You will then have free time before transferring from the
hotel to the pier for the hydrofoil return to Helsinki. Arrive back in
Helsinki at 7:00 pm and overnight at
Hotel Sokos Presidentti or similar.
THU HELSINKI
The tour ends after buffet breakfast at the hotel.
